Tamale Wizard

When I knew I wanted to eat here:

It was a particularly warm November day when I was walking up Walnut St. on a dog walk.  The menu posted to the window boasting a mouthwatering list of salsas.  I <3 Salas!  I told my boyfriend we had to try this new place called Tamale Wizard.  It was not a hard sell.

For the past 12ish weeks, my boyfriend and I have been dining at the Tamale Wizard at least once per weekend.  Hmmm...you might get the idea that we like their food just a little bit. Yup, that's a fact!  We love the food, the prices, the location and now the beverages on tap. It's the best of both worlds, my boyfriend likes to eat meals, I don't like cooking and we both like Tamale Wizard. I'm bragging when I say that I'm in fact, The Duchess of Tamale Wizard per Yelp. (I'm treated as a well as a Duchess when I dine here).  Curtis and Charlie have become our personal chefs on Friday and Saturdays (I and dying for them to open on Sundays...hint hint!)


Some of my favorite menu items so far have been the lamb taco, pork tamale, pinto beans and of course the salsa. Have I mentioned I like salsa?  All of their food is prepared and made to order, so sit and enjoy your beer or Soda Vie while your food is prepared. 


I'm even more excited since the news broke today that they have gotten their liquor license.
