Folgers Coffee Plant Clearing Out

More empty space in the (soon-to-be 'Old') Folger Coffee Plant, Kansas City, MO.  This space previously housed a conveyor belt  that was used to fill boxes of those single use 'vacket pack' bags.

This plant is set to close in April.

You can see some of the equipment that was already taken out in my previous post.

On the bright side (of people losing their job and a landmark going away), look at the gorgeous wooden floors.

Check out the new steel windows they've added.
There use to be windows here.

  1. The only way this could be a good thing is if the wood floors have soaked up the coffee smell, the building gets renovated into lofts, and then I buy one.

  2. Wouldn't be downtown Kansas city without passing the aroma of Folgers Coffee. I will cherish those moments that put a smile on my face.
