Breed specific fostering

Re-post of my Kansas City Pet Fostering blog on Examiner.com
Australian Shepard/Blue Heeler
Still want to foster, but are afraid of not know the breed of animal that will be available to foster?  Shelters and rescue agencies are an excellent source for place to foster animals, but there are breed specific groups that allow you to foster for them.  This great if you are very familiar with a specific breed of animal and are able to provide training that will help enhance their adoptability.  Unlike when I fostered Charlie, a blue healer/Australian shepard.  I had no idea what to expect from those two breeds.  Luckily for me, I had friends who knew and helped me understand Charlie.
Here’s a list of breed specific groups:
Canine:
Missouri German Shepard Resuce
Kansas City Regap (Retired Greyhounds as Pets)
Feline:
Check out the links above if any of these breeds are the kind you would be interested in fostering.
