Lake WTF Cont...

I had previously written about a new urban lake, Lake WTF, off of 8th St. I've done more research since this article to find out more about the parking lot.  I've also gotten new photos of the lot and the 'lake'.  I regret to inform that nothing has gotten better, but with each piece of information the puzzle will be easier to solve.

I was wrong when I suggested it was still part of Standard Parking.  It's apparent that the sign has been further  released of it's Standard Parking heading. It was further confirmed when I actually spoke to someone who parks here.  The lot belongs to the abandoned building to it's West.  Formerly, a bar called Drafters.  That's all I know from the faded awning.

You can clearly see from this image that the water is growing algae.  Tisk Tisk!

It appears that, I presume, the DCID has placed sandbags to divert the water away from their plants.

I doubt I'm going to get much help from an abandoned building, so I went ahead and reported the future swamp to the city.  I'm not hopeful, but it's just another step to getting this repaired.
