Clearing Out The Clutter...
“Have nothing in your house that you do not know to be useful, or believe to be beautiful.”
-William Morris, Textile and Wallpaper Designer, Artist, Socialist. 1834-1896.
What a great quote. I know that I for one have very little room to have anything that I don't love or use. I'm pushing myself hard to get rid of all those belongings that don't meet the above criteria.
I recently donated 1 30gal tote full, 2 under-the-bed boxes full, 1 large OldNavy bag and one other bag full of stuff I don't need anymore. Ask me what was in all those, I couldn't say. That's how useful all those things are to me. I don't miss a single item. Everything was taken to the Goodwill on Vivian, so you might just see some junk that use to be in my home if you shop there.
I don't feel a ton of relief, but it's a start. I will also save the receipts to make some major deductions on my 2008 taxes.
